A licensed real estate agent in the Westhampton Beach office of Town and Country Real Estate, Joan Duval first fell in love with the Hamptons as a teenager. Those summer vacations in Hampton Bays and East Quogue sharing homes with her friends would inspire her, "It was so much fun out here in the Hamptons. This was the best place in the world and I just had to live here."
Joan would eventually move full-time to Hampton Bays. After years in New York City working with CBS News in the Advertising & Promotion Department her interactions with newscasters like Katie Couric, Connie Chung, Dan Rather, and Meredith Vieira would add a bit of perspective when it came time to manage the personalities of homebuyers and sellers in the Hamptons real estate market. Marketing a home in the Hamptons, she would discover, was similar to television network promotions - it was all about the right visuals and a great message. With numerous multi-million dollar homes in her portfolio it's not hard to see that Joan found a way to connect the dots and successfully market homes for her clients.
"I love putting deals together and delivering what customers want," says Joan. "And I love beautiful houses." In the eight years Joan has been selling real estate in the Hamptons she's seen her fair share of beautiful homes. For Joan, a Hamptons home should be an "effortless and elegant" retreat that you can enjoy for a season or year-round.
When she's not working with clients and customers Joan can be found out and about in the Hamptons scouring the nearest farmer's markets for goodies for her kitchen where she's a self-described foodie. You might also spot her on the East End of Long Island swimming in the ocean, kayaking in the bays, enjoying the wonderful offerings at any number of waterfront restaurants in the area, or even taking long walks on the beach.
