The newly released Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller 20-city Home Price Index Report indicated a 13.6% year over year gain—the fastest since February 2006.

Keep in mind the Case-Shiller index covers approximately half the US homes and is not seasonally adjusted.
This latest report for October home sales demonstrated a 0.2% increase month to month from September to October, significantly lower than the 0.7% increase August to September
Which further confirms the leveling off of home price increases.
The big story remaining the year to year leap of 13.6%!
2014 has been predicted by all indications to result in 5-10% increases in home sales prices nationwide, depending on the source.

Here on the east end it’s as though you could feel Main Street prepare for a special year.
